Stace was appointed by Quintain Ltd to provide Project Management, Employer’s Agent and CDM services for a new park which provides an amenity to adjacent new build high rise residential apartments as part of the wider Wembley Park regeneration.
The park comprises of 7,300sqm of landscaped areas across multiple levels including 4 ponds, a separate splash pool and a water feature. The works included deep laying infrastructure for the adjacent high-rise buildings.
Phase 1 of the project was installing deep laying infrastructure 3.5m below ground between the residential high-rise buildings. This infrastructure includes district heating, vacuum waste disposal, foul water, service water, potable water and low voltage electrical networks.
The adjacent high-rise buildings are being built in tandem alongside the park by varying contractors. Therefore, communication between sites, which was in part enabled by Stace, was paramount to hit connection dates for the infrastructure.
Phase 2 of the project is to landscape the area in varying soft and hard finishes and provide 4nr ponds, a splash pool and water feature. Alongside the landscaping, the park is to have a range of lighting, CCTV and street furniture.
The park is due to have sectional handovers with the first section available from September 2019 and the full park to be complete by December 2020.
Stace has provided a central role in the project ensuring the contractor adheres to the conditions of the contract, arranging project team meetings, carrying out site inspections amongst other responsibilities.
