Stace delivered the construction of a 60-bed Travelodge complete with a ground floor bakery fitted out to shell and core. Works also included the fit-out of cased goods, on-site parking and landscaping. This development is the first national hotel chain unit to be built in the area.
The original industrial buildings had been cleared previously leaving a level site for redevelopment.
The four-storey building consisted of a steel frame construction up to the first floor and an SFS and timber frame system on the upper floors. A modular construction method was used for all the bathrooms with the rest of the building following traditional methods of construction.
