Stace is genuinely delighted to be supporting Kingston Council to realise its vision to revitalise the historic town centre and celebrate its rich heritage in order to make it better for the local residents, businesses, students and visitors. The programme will help diversify the local economy beyond retail and ignite a vibrant leisure and cultural scene.
The first part of the new programme is the delivery of a community leisure facility on the site of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre which is accessible for all residents, offers a range of facilities that benefit everyone and is built to last. In addition, the local public spaces near the building include those around the Kingston Museum and Library will be greatly improved. The scheme comprises new wet and dry facilities, café, community facilities, rooftop flood lit artificial sports pitches, clip n climb climbing wall, squash courts and 3no pools. The local children’s playground facilities will be enhanced, and a single storey extension provided to the local Museum.
Following an outstanding effort from the project team, it’s terrific to see the planning application for the new leisure facility submitted. We look forward to receiving consent and onwards onto delivery.
