Delivery of a world-class Premier League training ground and academy.
Stace were appointed by Tottenham Hotspur PLC to provide cost management and CDM services for the new build development of a Premier League Football Club first team training ground and academy. The project provided new accommodation for the entire football operation of the club relocation from previous premises.
The building design offers over 100,000 ft² of world class facilities, providing swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, medical, gymnasium, offices, press facilities, food preparation restaurant and associated external facilities including 15 football pitches (one indoor) and peripheral training areas on a site of 75 acres.
Our Role
Stace provided cost management and CDM services for the entire facility from planning to completion.
Our quantity surveyors worked with the design team, coordinating the requirements of a ‘football’ side of the client with the members of the main board. The team delivered the project against an immovable programme deadline of a new premier league season to an exceptional level of quality.
Our Impact
Since completion, the project has been hailed as “one of the best training grounds” in world football, throughout widespread press and internet coverage.
A significant element of the brief was the management of cost against the challenge of evolving technology in sports science. As new innovations broke in both the design and construction periods, the design team responded to the demands of each of the client’s sports departments. Stace successfully managed the process to the satisfaction of the client and remain as cost consultants to the facility.
