The project includes the Hotspur Way training ground facilities and the player’s hotel facility at Myddelton Lodge and most recently the infrastructure enabling works for the 62,500-seat stadium, and retail and hospitality offering.
In 2012, Tottenham Hotspur unveiled the opening of its new build training ground facilities, Hotspur Way which was the first part of the vision. The project included new accommodation for the entire football operation of the Club, relocating from their previous facility.
The building design provided over 100,000 ft² of facilities, providing a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, medical, gymnasium, offices, press facilities, food preparation restaurant and associated external facilities including 15 football pitches (one indoor) and peripheral training areas. Myddelton Lodge was completed in 2018, on schedule for the arrival of the first guests, the Brazilian national team, who used the facilities as preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Myddelton Lodge involved the retention of existing historic buildings and the construction of a new 42,000 sq. ft training lodge facility.
The 3-storey crescent-shaped accommodation building is situated within the training centre site and is ‘sunk’ into the ground to not compromise the natural aesthetics of the site. View our project case study.
Our involvement on the Northumberland Development Project began in 2009 which involved key strategic enabling works and subsequent development works prior to the commencement of the demolition of the existing stadium.
In 2019, the club unveiled its 62,500-seat stadium and associated retail facilities. Stace was appointed by BASE CONTRACTS as part of its customer experience delivery team which was responsible for the complete fit-out of all areas of the stadium, to a stunning design developed and implemented by F3 Architectural designs.
The stadium has fast become a critical part of the Tottenham community and in a very short period of time been recognised as a world-class, award-winning venue not just for football and American Football but also as a leisure destination with multi-purpose facilities.
The stadium is becoming a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding areas.
