Stace played an integral part in the delivery of Norton Motorcycles’ new headquarters at Solar Park in Solihull. From the outset of the scheme, the main drivers were speed in the delivery of the manufacturing hall to enable production to resume. Quality in the execution of the works with keen attention to detail ensured the facility reflects Norton’s principles surrounding quality in design, engineering, and production. Of key importance throughout was sustainability and so there was a focus upon the circular economy, careful material selection and ensuring a high future re-use.
Stace has been key to driving the delivery of this world class facility for Norton which will enable the next generation of Norton Motorcycles to be developed and built under their new owner’s TVS Motor Company.
We have provided facilities for circa 150 staff, space for manufacturing lines, engineering and product development, offices, design studios, support functions including for marketing and sales. The facility is based in the West Midlands, Solihull, creating hundreds of jobs at what is an incredibly challenging time economically.
Norton Motorcycles was founded in 1898 as a manufacturer of fittings and parts to the two-wheel trade and in in April 2020, was acquired by TVS Motor Company. Norton Motorcycles went on to become one of the most iconic British motorcycle brands, manufacturing famous models such as the 650SS, Atlas, Commando, Dominator, Manx, Navigator and more – constantly innovating in motorcycle technology, with features advantageous for lightness and strength in motorcycle racing. Norton Motorcycles has an unrivalled history in motorsport and the brand name is synonymous with Isle of Man TT racing.
