Stace were appointed to manage the refurbishment and sub-division of an existing three unit retail warehouse, constituting the first phase of the re-imaging of an existing retail park.
The works consisted of the enhancement of the existing front façade, including demolition, renewal of cladding and installation of new signage gantries to create a more contemporary elevation. Internally, the works include the sub-division of an existing unit to forma fourth tenancy and construction of a new mezzanine. New incoming statutory services were also installed.
During the works, the tenant occupying the central unit remained in occupation for part of the programme, requiring Stace to coordinate the formation of a temporary means of access and phased sequencing of the works.
Stace completed the project on programme whilst maintaining close to full operation of the rest of the retail park and existing retail operations. The security of the public and the continued trading within the existing retail park units was achieved by the careful planning of safety measures and traffic management.
Upon successful and on-time delivery, new tenants were obtained for all units and the enhanced appearance of the units and estate has increased its popularity.
This has allowed us to press ahead with phase II of the retail park’s reimaging.
