Wembley Stadium’s new One Twenty Club, as part of Club Wembley, has been designed to provide the ultimate member experience, including restaurant, bar and lounge facilities. Light touch refurbishments were also carried out to the lower level member’s lounge, including entrance canopies and staircases.
Stace were appointed as Cost Managers, Employer’s Agent and CDM Advisor for the delivery of this project.
The project was multi-phased to fit around the busy event schedule at Wembley Stadium:
Throughout both phases, a number of additional works were instructed to the building contract. A separate funding stream was identified for the Bobby Moore Lounge, and the cost management team participated in value engineering workshops with the contractor to offset any additional costs to the One Twenty Club. Stace also coordinated a value engineering exercise with the main contractor and the architect for the various elements of feature joinery and furnishings, resulting in savings to the original contract sum and an improvement in overall quality to the area.
Owing to the strict deadlines associated with the prearranged Stadium events, Stace engaged in intensive management of the contracted parties to ensure that the project finished on programme and to the desired standards. The team worked closely with the other consultants in conceptualising the design in a challenging commercial environment; facilitating discussions with key stakeholders in the Stadium to ensure that the project met all objectives.
The area has received excellent feedback following completion and is operating as to the desired high standards in providing a luxury member experience.
The One Twenty Club has been shortlisted for the prestigious Stadium Business Design and Development Awards 2017 in the Interior and Fit-Out category.
