PRESS RELEASE
Built between 1795 and 1829, Ickworth House is a Grade I listed property which became a part of the National Trust in 1956.
The scheme involves the re-roofing of the iconic Rotunda building and the surrounding wings. The works are the largest conservation project to ever take place at Ickworth.
This is a significant appointment for Stace, as we look to strengthen our delivery across the culture and heritage portfolio. This follows further appointments across the sector including commissions for The British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Coventry Cathedral amongst others.
Group Director, Peter Chana, who joined Stace at the beginning of 2019, following his previous role as Head of Heritage at Lendlease comments: “It has been a strong year for Stace as we continue to build our presence in the Culture and Heritage sector. Stace has an incredibly impressive portfolio working with Royal Palaces, galleries and museums of international renown. It has been fantastic building upon this and expanding the clients we work with, in this special sector.”
Supported with additional funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England and The Wolfson Foundation, the project at Ickworth is imperative to safeguard its future for generations to come.
