New state-of-the-art education facility in Greenwich

Stace has been appointed to provide Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services on a new scheme by the London South East Colleges (LSEC) to redevelop its Greenwich campus.

The project will see the existing buildings demolished and a state-of-the-art educational facility constructed featuring classrooms, wellbeing spaces, a student welfare space, a Mac studio, training kitchen, and learning resource centre.

The scheme is anticipated to transform skills provision in Greenwich by creating an innovative and inspiring environment for teaching and learning.

The project will target, a BREAAM Outstanding rating and will include rooftop air source heat pumps combined with a highly effective ambient loop heating and cooling system. On the roof, a collection of photovoltaic panels will be joined with a solar green roofing system.

Supported by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the Greater London Authority and the Department for Education (DfE), 294 high-quality new homes will also be built on the site with 50% established as affordable housing.

Works on site started in April 2024, with the scheme expected to reach practical completion in September 2025. The campus will remain open and operational throughout the redevelopment.
