Having worked Cost Manager and Contract Administrator on the refurbishment of Jimmy’s homeless shelter, a small team from Stace rolled up their sleeves and helped paint part of the building.
Jimmy’s opened in 1995 as Cambridge’s first all-year-round night shelter. The community-based charity has since been offering support and housing to rough sleepers within the city. The space painted will be used as a temporary shelter for homeless people in Cambridge.
“This is Stace’s first job with Jimmy’s, but I hope that we can be of support in the future. It was great to help a good cause both in terms of providing professional advice but also manual labour!”, says Joseph Leak, Building Surveyor.
Thank you to fellow volunteers from Wrenbridge and Curo construction for arranging the endless coffees!
