Stace are delighted to report that a planning application for 50 High Street, Sheffield has received approval from Sheffield City Council.
The scheme, which is being delivered by Tellon Capital, will see the delivery of a new student accommodation scheme at the heart of Sheffield City Centre.
A former department store, the scheme will deliver 330 beds of high-quality student accommodation within a mix of cluster apartments and studio bedrooms. Retail units will be retained on the lower two floors and the building will be extended to create five floors of student accommodation above.
The building, which has gone many transformations over its lifespan, sits on the entrance of Sheffield’s City Centre Conservation Area and is a 5-minute walk to Sheffield Hallam’s city campus and a 15-minute walk to the University of Sheffield’s buildings and Student Union.
Stace are appointed in Project Management and Party Wall Surveyor capacities.
