Graduate Stories

Kelvin Saddul
Senior Project Manager

How did you find out about the Stace Graduate Development Programme?

Whilst studying for my Master’s, a lecturer recommended me to Stace. Prior to the interview, I undertook some research on the company. I found the scheme particularly interesting because it provided an opportunity to bridge the gap between the knowledge I had gained during my studies and real-world experience.

What do you enjoy most about working for Stace?

I have been given the opportunity to work on various schemes and with different clients, which has allowed me to develop into the competent project manager that I am today. Working with this amount of differentiation has meant that my knowledge of project management and construction has grown significantly in a short period of time. I am also surrounded by colleagues with vast experience in the industry who have always been open to answering any questions I have had.

What did you learn on the Graduate Development Programme that you have applied to your day-to-date role?

The comprehensive two-year scheme provided me with an overview of the necessary skills and knowledge required on a day-to-day basis when managing projects. The key skills and knowledge I implement on a daily basis are administering a building contract, understanding the importance of client care and presenting confidently.

What advice would you give students considering the Stace Graduate Development Programme?

I would advise students to consider the graduate scheme as it provides the necessary knowledge required to become a chartered professional within the industry. Stace is able to provide a scheme which enables you to expand your knowledge and get stuck into projects allowing you to grow as a professional within a short period of time.

What are your future career plans?

I recently became an MRICS Chartered Project Management Surveyor and would like to help others within Stace achieve their chartership. I am also working on some great schemes and look forward to delivering them in the coming year.
