On 24th July 1959, Leonard Stace registered Leonard E Stace ARICS. The first scheme for the company was the refurbishment of an office block located in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex. The company grew and in 1961 we moved into our offices in Epping for the fee of £1 per week.
Leonard E Stace ARICS is announced on the framework for the then Ministry of Public Building and Works, where we deliver our services on iconic London landmarks.
Phil Cook and David Harrison become Partners of the firm, and the company is rebranded to Leonard Stace Partnership. During this time we begin to provide Project Management, led by Partner David Harrison and supported by Glyn Crawley, who joined as an apprentice.
During a period where we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we grow our presence across the UK, with the opening of our Leeds office. The office was led by Ray Bassett, and one of our first projects included the Victoria Shopping Arcade.
During this time Richard Gough, Ray Bassett, Howard Green, David Ward and later on Gary Fletcher become Partners of the company. Founder, Leonard Stace retires in 1992.
In 2016 the Partnership grows to 19 Partners, and we open office number 5 in Cambridge. We now have an even stronger presence across the UK with offices in Cambridge, Epping, Leamington Spa, Leeds and London.
In 2018 we are recognised as a Top 20 UK consultancy and the largest UK SME Surveying Practice.
