Background

Development of a luxury residential led mixed-use development in Fulham for Meyer Homes.

Approached behind a pair of meticulously restored historic gatehouses, Bishops Gate forms a new focal point for Fulham High Street, with striking architecture combined with beautifully crafted interiors by renowned designers WISH London.

The project involved the demolition of the existing buildings, retention of the historical gatehouses and boundary walls within a local conservation area.  Extensive archaeological watching brief and excavations as well as removal of residual contamination to the site.

Redeveloped to provide a combination of forty-nine apartments, ten mews houses and several ground floor retail units arranged around a central landscaped square with basement parking.

Comprising stunning homes that combine eye-catching architecture, contemporary interior design and an unrivalled specification, the apartments mirror the enduring cachet, style and appeal of Fulham. The scheme further includes an exclusive collection of ten four bedroom homes, providing an outstanding contemporary take on the traditional London townhouse, carefully crafted with beautiful architecture, spacious layouts and stylish interiors designed with modern day family living in mind.

Our Role

Stace delivered in the roles of Project Management/Employer’s Agent, Cost Management and Client CDM advisory capacity for the development.

Our Impact

The project commenced in 2015 with the demolition of the former Territorial Army buildings, followed by the enabling excavations and sheet piling installation during 2016.

Construction commenced at the end of 2016, with four sectional completions to achieve an overall completion date of May 2018.

Close adjoining buildings within a local conservation area, combined with busy roads made for a restricted construction site, with Section 278 amendments, Party Wall and historical matters to manage.

Our Cost Management team provided monthly interim valuations and reporting throughout the development, identifying and valuing any changes and risks posed to the client’s security prior to each subsequent drawdown.

This project was completed in May 2018.
