Revitalising a 1900s building
The scheme consisted of a complete Cat A refurbishment and extension to a six-storey building located in the heart of London, on the west side of Great Castle Street.
With over 12,000 sq ft of open space over the six floors, the works included the expansion of open plan office floor plates, improved thermal insulation, new lift and building services, creation of external terraces, extensive stonework repairs and external lighting to the front façade.
The redesign brought the originally built 1903 office block into the 21st Century and overcame the constraints of working within the East Marylebone Conservation Area.
