Graduate Stories
How did you find out about the Stace Graduate Scheme?
I found out about the scheme through the visits Stace made to my university career fairs. I was attracted by the size of the company; it is a smaller firm, but we work with big clients and projects.
What advice would you give students who are considering the Stace Graduate Scheme?
It’s a well-rounded scheme that supplements your knowledge in all areas of construction and provides insight into the other disciplines working at Stace.
What do you enjoy most about working for Stace?
I enjoy the breadth of projects that Stace work on. Working on the Wembley transformation project has been really enjoyable, and I feel that we’re given a good level of responsibility for our roles. My job is varied and always changing due to the nature of projects. I also enjoy being able to see the visible outputs of my work.
What did you learn on the Graduate Development Scheme that you have applied to your day-to-day role?
Each session was based on a different part of the job. I found the construction law sessions very useful as Employer’s Agents need to know their contracts back to front.
What are your future career plans?
I became chartered with RICS as a project manager in 2023 and have been put in charge of running a small project. My career goals are now to start running larger projects and ones with an emphasis on sustainability or MMC.
