Background
Designed to deliver a ‘statement’ façade, Hounslow Civic Centre is a milestone development for the regeneration of West Hounslow.
Completed in early-2019, the works comprised the design and construction of an office with associated facilities providing the main building of 16,016m² gross internal area and auxiliary building in a courtyard of 75m² gross internal area.
The new civic centre includes:
- 7 floors including ground floor (and a basement);
- Grade A office to accommodate space for 872 workstations;
- Public accessible ground floor reception and customer area;
- Public library and café;
- Council chamber with flexible use;
- 45 basement car park spaces;
- 110 bicycle parking spaces.

Our Role
Stace delivered Employer’s Agent and Cost Management services on the construction of the new civic centre for the London Borough of Hounslow.
Our Impact
Our Employer’s Agent team provided liaison between the client and the end occupier to integrate the council’s requirements into the building in the most cost-effective and programme neutral way possible.
The management of the instruction process, variation cost controls, and notifications formed a key part in ensuring the end user had a building adapted to their requirements.
