Project Manager, Jonathan Lipscombe recently returned from Austria following successful factory inspections and acceptance testing of a central plant for an Energy Centre in north London.
Tests and inspections on three large shell boilers took place in the Bosch factory in Bischofshofen and on two CHP units at the GE Jenbacher factory in Jenbach. These images show one of the boilers in production and one of the CHP units during its end of line performance test.
These key items of plant form the heart of an Energy Centre designed to provide heat for approximately 6,000 homes. Over the next few days the boilers and CHP units, each weighing approximately 25 tonnes, will begin making their way to the UK, ready for installation.
This 20MW Energy Centre is one of a number of large scale infrastructure projects Stace is delivering for clients as Project Managers and Employer’s Agent.
